The 10th

We are once again giving all athletes who took part in our race last year, the opportunity for an early bird entry . However, the cut off for early entries is.... 15 June 2011 , after which it will be first come first serve. Follow the procedure below and let your entries roll in.

Novices can also send entry forms; the quicker you do it, the better your chances.

THE RACE WILL TAKE PLACE ON 27 AUGUST 2011

and it is the tenth D2D to be run !!!!

This year’s race is very special. It is the tenth Dawn 2 Dusk to be run. Yes, the first race was run in 2002, with less than a hundred athletes. Last year there were more than 300.

I am planning a bumper year (depending on how much money we can get together) – please note I am saying “WE” – to make this a memorable year. I have a lot of ideas in my mind, eg labelled wine, special memorabilia, etc. But we need money !! Contact every rich business person, family member, friend, even enemy and help me build up a fund to make this the biggest year ever. In terms of “what do I get for my money”, I will negotiate with every possible co-sponsor.

The same is true about our goodie bag – get us anything you can lay your hands on – new cars, furniture, running doepas, groceries, drinks, sweets, chips, CD’s, TV’s, whatever.  I need 320 items of each, or whatever you can get.

If your entry is accepted (you will be notified at the end of June), please take note that you cannot transfer your entry to another athlete. We will at that stage already have an official waiting list, and those athletes have to be helped first. Once your entry has been accepted, full race details will follow.

Our famous race jacket  will be handed to all individuals who complete 80 kms (70 km for walkers) for the first time, as well as special jackets to individuals and teams obtaining their permanent numbers (4 completed races).
